To get started, email, the backbone of modern communication, is a decentralized platform. It feels decentralized yet is fiercely guarded by tech titans. Intrigued, I ventured into the realm of building my own mail server—only to face a formidable challenge: the giants of cloud computing blocking my every move. They had their reasons, well-documented and fair, but decentralization seemed like a myth.
